Why holistic healtH

I am a committed lifelong learner that has practiced many trades, but my greatest passion is reserved for holistic health and nutrition. After beginning my career as an engineer – travelling the world and conducting IT training – I quickly discovered a deep grounding in speaking and teaching. A realization that inspired me to set off in search of a more human connection for my professional pursuits. Leading me to studies in International Development and on to development work in Nicaragua and Ecuador.

Following the births of my two sons, I continued my evolution by certifying as a doula. Marrying my profound birth experiences and long running, informal advocacy for healthy pregnancy and natural birthing into a deeply empowering professional endeavor. One hundred births and several additional certifications later, I made my most fulfilling career move to date - completing studies to certify as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN).

I am a true believer that balance and health are key to a happy life. My varied experiences have helped ground me in the notion that feeling good comes from within and that it may only be achieved by way of balance in your body, mind, and spirit. A holistic approach to health has allowed me to grow and flourish as a person. I love nothing more than supporting others who are ready to make a change and feel good!

More about Catherine

  • Sparking passion in others – through teaching and empowering people to take their health in their own hands – is my jam. I teach pediatrics and mental health at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, while also supporting clients and their families in a clinical setting.

  • My clinical support is perfect for anyone in pursuit of optimal health, regardless of your situation. Whether you are in search of improved health prior to getting pregnant,
throughout pregnancy or in postpartum, or are struggling with mental health issues, a high stress lifestyle, or weight control, I can help create a personalized plan that is specific to your needs and objectives.

  • Ever committed to learning new things and meeting new people, when not working, you can most likely find me in my kitchen whipping up new recipes or in the yoga studio pushing my limits. I also try to enjoy nature whenever I can, with running, biking and cross-country skiing being amongst my favourite outdoor activities.
