Ben Gibson
Registered Psychotherapist
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy and a BA in Psychology. I have 13 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families, and am confident in my ability to connect in a genuine way with a variety of clients, tailoring my approach in a way that best honours each client’s unique preferences, values, strengths and goals. My style is calm, and direct. I approach therapeutic conversations with kindness, moral clarity and good humour.
In my work, I am committed to demonstrating attentiveness to engaging clients’internal resources and their potential to create positive changes in their lives. I take pride in my curiosity and skillfulness in hearing what has not yet been said. Through insight, self-awareness and the acquisition of tools geared towards coping with life’s challenges, I believe that the therapeutic process is invaluable in nurturing and supporting healing in clients’ lives and relationships.
I am trained in and comfortable working from a variety of evidence-based counselling models, including:
Emotionally-Focused therapy
Narrative therapy
Solution-Focused therapy
Cognitive-Behavioral therapy
My professional training and personal experiences allow me to offer a non-judgmental environment, sensitive and intuitive insight, and solid therapeutic skills that can help you move forward in your life. I understand that the issues you may be bringing to therapy can be private, difficult to talk about, embarrassing, or painful. I have worked with people on many difficult issues and I aim to provide a safe space for clients to talk about their concerns.

Emily Burnett
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I specialize in working with young children with complex needs and have been supporting families for nearly 15 years in both community and clinical settings. I am currently a candidate in the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program and have a small practice under supervision. I have a comprehensive approach to therapy and believe the therapeutic relationship with a child is the most important piece for our success together. I use approaches based in attachment theory, mindfulness, psychoanalysis and body-based regulation. I work alongside parents to help them become the most reliable co-regulator for their child. I am a Certified Children's Yoga Teacher and have extensive experience in both Early Intervention and parent consultation in the Autism community.

Starting therapy can be scary and intimidating. I aim to create a warm, and comforting environment to safely explore a variety of topics. I believe therapy is a place where you can be reflective about experiences, and learn to see things from a different lens and perspective. My clinical experience spans working with adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, burnout, chronic pain, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
My approach is integrative and draws from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with a focus on mindfulness techniques. I create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, guiding you toward achieving your goals.
Outside of the therapy office you can find me curling up with a good fantasy book, playing with my pets, or working up a sweat at the yoga studio or lifting weights.

Catherine Reid
Registered social worker
I have been a Social Worker for over 29 years with a wealth of experience with children and families. My particular focus is conducting court ordered, section 30, Private Parenting Plan Assessments (formerly known as custody and access assessments). I am devoted to conducting thorough, balanced, and unbiased assessments to assist you in achieving a dignified resolution, in a healthy and focused state, and to consider your children's needs first and foremost. I promise to be there for you through your journey in negotiating Decision-Making responsibilities and Parenting Time with your ex-spouse. I acknowledge that the journey can be difficult, that you are likely in a high conflict situation and reassure you that the outcome will provide you guidance in how best to achieve your dignified resolution. Complementing my skills as a parenting plan evaluator and thoroughly understanding the dymanics and complexities of parenting plans, I also provide family therapy to children and parents where resist-refusal behaviours are present when parenting plans do not go as 'planned'.
In loving memory of Nicole Docksteader, Registered Psychotherapist.
She brought joy and laughter to all of those around her. She made huge impacts in all our lives and will never be forgotten.
May she rest in peace.
